about
I’m an information consumer who found my niche in web technologies. My daily reading consists of sifting through 200+ subscriptions in Google Reader and whatever rabbit holes those articles might turn up for the day.
Writing helps me codify and synthesize all those little information nuggets into something more useful rather than holding it all within the silo of my mind.
The stress of information overload, at least for me, comes when I know I’ve seen some nugget somewhere, but I can’t find it when I need it. This is part of the more general problem of information management and organization and I’ll probably write some blog entries about that because good systems of information management and organization do lead to better efficiency and higher productivity. And in many cases, websites and web applications are effective tools. And sometimes they add to the overload.
So, this blog is about both the problems that my tools aim to solve as well as about the tools I use and create.
